Alina Moleta

I am honored to be mentioned as a candidate for the South Dade Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. I am the business owner of an event planning company, that I started in 2015. My event planning career began in 2006, as I teamed up with my now mentor, Ana Cruz. In the past, I have had the opportunity to coordinate hundreds of weddings, corporate events, charity events and fund raising events. I pride myself on my work ethic, willingness to assist in any way that I can, and my willingness to learn. Prior to my event planning career, I was the Office Manager and Legal Secretary of a law firm in Miami, for 12 years. The years of experience there, really shaped the communicator and leader I am today. I am always grateful to any new opportunity or experience I encounter. I am completely humbled, honored and excited about the possibility of being on the Board of Directors. If I am not selected, please know that I would love to assist in any way possible.

Linda Fagan

1973 was the year I moved to Homestead. Culture shock after living in New England. For four years I tried to understand the community and finally decided to go back to New England. I longed for friendships and a sense of belonging, but stayed and really worked hard to understand this community and its folks. Took years to be accepted as not an outsider and truly made a commitment to try. Hurricane Andrew comes and I decided, I was going to go like so many others. I felt it was my responsibilities personally and professionally to help bring this community back together. 25 years later I still feel that commitment, I love this community and feel I would play a component part in helping the Chamber accomplish their goals. “It doesn’t matter where you come from, it matters where you’re going.”

Julio Guzman

As an active member of this community I’ve noticed tremendous progress this board has created over the recent years. I’d like to get involved and be part of creating new opportunities for the people who live in our community.
